Saturday August 19 - Young Eagles at El Dorado, KEQA. The Annual Customer Appreciation Fly-In will be 8am-11am. There will be breakfast served by the Boy Scouts (donations accepted) and Young Eagles Rides for kids ages 8-17. If you would like to participate with the Young Eagles flights please contact Bill Lindsay, because you’ll need to get a background check before the Fly-In.

I have received numerous phone calls since yesterday morning about rides this weekend. Sam McNair also collected several names of kids interested in rides during the Women in Engineering Kid Expo at Century II about 2 weeks ago.We need pilots to help fulfill the mission. Lets not turn these kids down and get them in the air.If you can fly this Saturday PLEASE contact me by Thursday May 11 so I know how many pilots and ground crew we have.

We will also be registering kids and collecting money for our upcoming Model Rocket Discovery Day Camp June 12-13. We will also be selling our raffle tickets for the Rusty Eck Ford Car Give-a-Way in Decemeber.

 


Saturday August 19 we will be flying Young Eagles at Eldorado. We will be sending more information out as the date gets closer.
August 28 - 7 - 8 pm, VMC Club at EAA 88 HQ, 3612 N Webb Rd Wichita, KS.  Hangar talk centered around pilot proficiency and safety. All Instrument and Non-instrument pilots welcome. Free admission!

Appreciation Fly-In will be
on Saturday August 19, 8am-
11am. There will be breakfast

Oct. 7 -  54th Annual Air Capital Fly-In will be held at Jabara (KAAO). The speaker will be Tom Carr, former Chief Test Pilot, Beechcraft. Tom is now the Chief Pilot for Garmin. The B-17 "Madras Maiden" is planning to be back to our Fly-In October 7.
